Taurus (Vrishabha) — fixed earth, ruled by Venus

Symbol: the bull. Lord: Venus.

Fixed earth is the most immovable combination in the zodiac: it accumulates and it keeps. Taurus is about value — resources, comfort, the senses, and things worth holding on to. A planet here gains steadiness and appetite, and resists being hurried.

Virgo (Kanya) — dual earth, ruled by Mercury

Symbol: the maiden, usually shown holding grain. Lord: Mercury.

Dual earth is substance that keeps adjusting itself: analysis, correction, craft, service. Virgo is where things get checked and improved rather than merely owned. A planet here gains precision and discrimination — and a tendency to worry at details.

Capricorn (Makara) — movable earth, ruled by Saturn

Symbol: the makara, a sea-creature usually rendered as the crocodile or sea-goat. Lord: Saturn.

Movable earth starts structures: ambition with a long horizon, hierarchy, duty, the patient climb. A planet here gains discipline and staying power, and is slowed early to be rewarded late.
