What does VedicStars Gurukul cost?

The whole foundational curriculum is free, with no card: the nine grahas, twelve rashis, twelve bhavas, twenty-seven nakshatras, dashas, and reading a chart with them — including the quizzes, the mastery gate, spaced repetition, and practice on your own birth chart. Gurukul Plus is ₹199 a month or ₹1,999 a year, renewing until you cancel; it opens the advanced chapters (divisional charts, transits and sade sati, compatibility, ashtakavarga, muhurta) and raises your saved charts from one to four.

What is Jyotish?

Jyotish, often called Vedic astrology, is the traditional Indian system of astronomy and astrology. It uses the sidereal zodiac, which is fixed against the stars, rather than the tropical zodiac used in Western astrology.

Do I need to know any astrology to start?

No. The path begins at absolute beginner and builds up one concept at a time. A short placement quiz can also start you further along if you already know some of the fundamentals.

How is this different from a horoscope app?

VedicStars Gurukul teaches you to read a chart yourself — starting with your own — rather than handing you a prediction. Chart math is computed deterministically from a real ephemeris, classical references are cited rather than invented, and the framing is symbolic — tendencies and timing, never fatalism.

Whose charts do I learn on?

Your own, from the first practical. You add your birth details and each lesson shows where the idea lands in your chart, computed from a real ephemeris and framed as tendencies, never fate. On Gurukul Plus you can add up to three more people you know — family, a friend, a favourite star — and practise on their charts too.

Is the chart math accurate?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every chart is a deterministic function of birth time, location, and ayanamsa, computed with the Swiss Ephemeris. The default ayanamsa is Pushya-paksha. No astrology is ever generated by a language model.

How does the mastery-gated path work?

Each node on the skill map is a short lesson followed by a quiz. You unlock the next node only by passing the quiz at the mastery threshold, so you never advance on a topic you have not actually learned.
