What the D9 shows: Marriage and partnership, dharma, and a graha's inner strength — the promise behind the rasi chart's appearance.
Vargottama: A graha in the same sign in D1 and D9 — the two charts agree, and the placement is notably reinforced.
Reading vargas without over-reading: A varga refines the rasi chart; it never contradicts it into irrelevance, and needs an accurate birth time to mean anything.
