How to tell a real signal from a detail that merely caught your eye.

Not every factor counts equally

A chart offers dozens of true statements. Only a few of them matter much. Three things raise a factor's weight:

Strength — a graha that is dignified, uncombust and directionally strong speaks louder than one that isn't. (This is what the Graha Strength chapter was for.)

Proximity — occupation beats aspect; conjunction beats a distant gaze. A graha in the 7th says more about partnership than one merely looking at it.

Ownership — a house's own lord carries more weight for that house than a visitor does.

Repetition is the real test

The single most useful discipline in chart reading:

> Trust a theme that three independent factors state. Discard one that only one factor states.

If the 10th lord is strong, Saturn (karaka of work) is dignified, and the current dasha lord sits in the 10th — that's a real signal about work. If only one of those is true, it's noise.

This is why the passes in the last level are worth doing in full even when you spot the answer early. You are not looking for evidence; you are counting how much there is.

Counting a theme

Someone asks about partnership. You find:

• The 7th lord is in the 12th (a dusthana) — one factor toward difficulty.
• Venus, the natural karaka of marriage, is combust — a second, independent factor pointing the same way.
• Saturn aspects the 7th — a third, again the same direction.

Three independent factors agree. That is a theme worth stating: partnership tends to ask for patience and to arrive later or with more deliberation.

Now change one thing: suppose only the Saturn aspect is present, and the 7th lord is strong in a kendra with Venus dignified. One factor against two. The theme evaporates — and saying it anyway would be inventing.

Karakas as an independent voice

Notice what did the work in that example: Venus was consulted, not just the 7th house.

Every matter has a karaka — a natural significator — that is read alongside its house. Sun for father and authority, Moon for mother and mind, Mars for siblings and courage, Mercury for speech, Jupiter for children and wisdom, Venus for spouse and pleasure, Saturn for longevity and work.

House and karaka are two independent witnesses to the same subject. When they agree, the theme is strong. When they disagree, you have a contradiction — which is the next level.

Remember it

Three witnesses make a theme; one witness makes a sentence you should not say. House, lord, karaka, aspect, dasha — count how many agree before you commit to anything.
