Krishnamurti Paddhati (KP) Basics · Gurukul Plus
Star Lord & Sub Lord
Nine unequal subs in every nakshatra, and how to find one from degrees.
This chapter is part of Gurukul Plus
The foundational curriculum — grahas, rashis, bhavas, nakshatras, dashas and how to read a chart with them — is free to read here and free to practise in the app. Krishnamurti Paddhati (KP) Basics is one of the advanced chapters, and its teaching text comes with Plus.
Plus is ₹1,999 a year, paid once. Nothing auto-renews. It opens every advanced chapter and raises your saved charts from one to four, so you can work on family charts alongside your own.

- Star lord
- The Vimshottari lord of the nakshatra a point falls in. KP holds that a planet chiefly gives the results of its star lord.
- Sub lord
- Each nakshatra is cut into nine unequal subs in proportion to the Vimshottari years. The sub lord gives the final verdict.
- 243 arcs, 249 subs
- 27 × 9 = 243 sub arcs, but six straddle a sign boundary, so KP's table lists 249 sign–star–sub combinations.
