Krishnamurti Paddhati (KP) Basics · Gurukul Plus

Star Lord & Sub Lord

Nine unequal subs in every nakshatra, and how to find one from degrees.

This chapter is part of Gurukul Plus

The foundational curriculum — grahas, rashis, bhavas, nakshatras, dashas and how to read a chart with them — is free to read here and free to practise in the app. Krishnamurti Paddhati (KP) Basics is one of the advanced chapters, and its teaching text comes with Plus.

Plus is ₹1,999 a year, paid once. Nothing auto-renews. It opens every advanced chapter and raises your saved charts from one to four, so you can work on family charts alongside your own.

Writing up your experience in the community earns Plus days too — see the subreddit.

Star lord
The Vimshottari lord of the nakshatra a point falls in. KP holds that a planet chiefly gives the results of its star lord.
Sub lord
Each nakshatra is cut into nine unequal subs in proportion to the Vimshottari years. The sub lord gives the final verdict.
243 arcs, 249 subs
27 × 9 = 243 sub arcs, but six straddle a sign boundary, so KP's table lists 249 sign–star–sub combinations.
