Krishnamurti Paddhati (KP) Basics · Gurukul Plus
Ruling Planets, Timing & Horary
The planets ruling a moment, how KP times events, and the 1–249 horary numbers.
This chapter is part of Gurukul Plus
The foundational curriculum — grahas, rashis, bhavas, nakshatras, dashas and how to read a chart with them — is free to read here and free to practise in the app. Krishnamurti Paddhati (KP) Basics is one of the advanced chapters, and its teaching text comes with Plus.
Plus is ₹1,999 a year, paid once. Nothing auto-renews. It opens every advanced chapter and raises your saved charts from one to four, so you can work on family charts alongside your own.

- Ruling planets
- The planets ruling a moment: the sign, star and sub lords of the lagna and Moon, plus the day lord.
- KP timing
- An event needs three things to agree: dasha lords that signify it, a transit through a significator's star, and ruling planets that overlap the significators.
- KP horary numbers
- In KP horary the querent names a number from 1 to 249. The start of that sub becomes the horary ascendant.
- KP's limits
- A cuspal verdict is a tendency and a window, never a date or a sentence, and it is withheld when the birth time can't support it.
