Drishti & Yuti — How Grahas Reach Each Other
Drishti Capstone — Map the Web in a Chart

The order to work in
Given a chart and a house you care about, here's a repeatable pass:
1. Who's in it? Grahas sitting in the house act on it most directly.
2. Who's looking at it? Walk the other grahas and check their aspects — remember Mars, Jupiter and Saturn see three houses each.
3. Where's its lord, and who's on that? The lord carries the house wherever it goes (you learned this in Bhavas), so run steps 1–2 on the lord's house too.
4. Any exchange? If the lord is in a parivartana, the two houses read as one.
That's a genuine first-pass reading of any house.
Now check your own chart
Look at your chart below and work out which grahas are casting an aspect onto your lagna (House 1). Remember: every graha aspects the 7th from itself, and Mars, Jupiter and Saturn each see two more houses.
What this does and doesn't tell you
The aspect web tells you where the pressure and support in a chart are concentrated — which houses are busy and which are quiet.
It does not produce verdicts. A house with three malefic aspects is not a doomed area of life; it is an area with friction, demand, and often the competence that comes from both. A house with benefic support is not guaranteed anything; it is helped.
As always: windows and tendencies, never certainties.
Remember it
Who sits, who looks, where's the lord, any swap? Four questions, asked in that order, on any house in any chart.
Terms introduced here
- Drishti — the gaze
- A graha influences the house it looks at, not only the house it sits in. Aspects are counted whole-sign from the occupied house.
- The special aspects
- Mars also sees the 4th and 8th, Jupiter the 5th and 9th, Saturn the 3rd and 10th — the only three grahas with extra aspects.
- Who is doing the looking
- A benefic's gaze supports a house; a malefic's pressures it. The aspect's meaning depends on the aspecting graha.
